1. The WILD is cancelled by the event organisers

In the unlikely event that we cannot run The WILD – on the planned courses or contingency courses – owing to extreme weather or some other circumstance that is beyond our control the following will apply:

  • If notice of event cancellation is made on or before Friday 29th November 2024, participants will be given a 100% credit to be used for entry into the following year’s edition of The WILD.
  • If notice of event cancellation is made on Saturday 30th November 2024 or after, participants will be given a 50% credit to be used for entry into the following year’s edition of The WILD.
2. A participant wishes to withdraw from the event

In this instance the participant may be entitled to a refund or they can transfer their entry to another qualified person.

Refunds
  • For withdrawals made before midnight 31st July 2024 the participant will be entitled to a full refund of their entry fee, minus a $25 admin fee
  • For withdrawals made between 1st August 2024 and midnight 30th September 2024 the participant will be entitled to a 50% refund of their entry fee.
  • For withdrawals made between 1st October 2024 and midnight 13th November 2024 the participant will be entitled to a 25% refund of their entry fee.
  • For withdrawals made after 13th November 2024 the participant will not be entitled to any refund.
Transfers to another person
  • Should a participant wish to transfer their entry to another person they can do so at any time beforeDecember 2024 on payment of a $25 administration fee. (NB depending on when the transfer is made it may not be possible to produce a personalised bib for the new participant)
  • NB Transfers of V5000 entries can ONLY be made to another person who is in possession of a Warrant of Wildness.
  • NB Participants are not permitted to give their race bib to another person without going through the formal transfer process. The safety of all athletes is vital, the event organiser needs to ensure they have correct information for all runners on course.
3. A participant wishes to switch to a different course option
  • Transfers can be made to a shorter distance option at any time before December 202 at no extra charge. No refunds will be given for the difference in entry fees however.
  • Transfers can be made to a longer distance at any time before 6th December 2024 upon payment of any difference in course entry fees that apply at the time of transferring (NB depending on when such a request is made it may not be possible to produce a personalised bib for a participant’s new choice of course.)
  • NB Participants will only be allowed to transfer to the V5000 if they are in possession of a Warrant of Wildness
4. A participant wishes to defer their entry to 2025
  • Deferrals will only be allowed under exceptional personal circumstances. Requests must be made via email and include any supporting documentation (e.g. medical reports) that support a request. Such requests will be treated on a case-by-case basis by the organisers, whose decision is final.
